Paul Cleland is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist dedicated to helping individuals overcome life’s challenges. As part of his rebrand, Paul needed a modern website that reflected his professionalism and compassionate approach, while providing a smooth and welcoming experience for potential clients.

Challenge

Paul’s previous site, built on Wix, felt outdated and failed to communicate the quality of his services. It also didn’t align with his new branding or professional image.

Key issues included:

1. Lack of clarity
   Contact information weren’t instantly visible.
2. Poor performance
   Slow load times and low SEO scores hindered visibility.
3. Design mismatch
   The site didn’t reflect the clean, professional aesthetic of his new logo and rebrand.

Solution

I designed and developed a custom WordPress theme that balanced minimalism with warmth, making use of white space, calm typography and imagery that conveyed safety and trust.

On the technical side, I implemented modern WordPress best practices for performance, SEO, and long-term maintainability. The site is block-based, giving Paul flexibility to update content easily without compromising design consistency.
